Select cabinet type, enter width, height, depth and quantity. Then click
“Go”. (The enter key can be used to move from width, height, depth and
quantity) Once you click “Go” or hit “enter” the parts from the cabinet are
displayed in the parts grid, and the cabinet dimensions are added to the
cabinet list. You can add as many cabinets you need for a job.
If you have entered a cabinet that is not needed, double click the cabinet
no. in the cabinet list. When prompted to delete cabinet, click “yes”. After
clicking “yes” all the parts for the cabinet will be removed from the parts
grid.
If a single part to a cabinet is not needed, right click on the
unwanted part and select “delete”.
To change a part size, double click on the parts cell (the cell will change
to a pale yellow) make the change and hit “enter”.
Sheet layout

When all cabinets have been entered, select tool/optimize
The optimize/layout page will open and will nest all the parts on to the
sheets. Cabinetpartspro will try to
place the parts with the least waste. (Rotating will soon be an option)
After all the parts are placed, you can rearrange them by using drag & drop
or cut & paste.
Drag and drop, left click the part while holding the left mouse button down.
Move the part to the new location. Then release the mouse button.
Cut/copy and paste, right click the panel then select “cut/copy”. To paste
the panel, right click on a part adjacent to where you want to paste.
* If you right click in the upper right corner of the adjacent part
the part will be pasted to the right of the adjacent part.
* If you right click in the lower right corner, the panel will be
pasted diagonally.
* If you right click on the lower left corner it will be pasted
below.
You can also cut and paste to the parts grid. (Note: parts can not be copied
to the parts grid)
If a part is not needed, right click the part and select “delete”.
Changing the size, placement and the parts options, right click the part to
be changed, then select “change”. Make the changes and close the change part form.
Cut Order
When you are satisfied with the layout, you will have to select cut order.
Click "tools" then "cut order". The cut order will also specify the start of cut. The mouse icon will change from cross-hairs to an arrow. Click on the part to be cut first, the second and so on. (Start of cut follows the same guide as pasting.) A red square indicates the start of cut and the number indicates what part will be cut first. Now you are ready to calculate a tool path. Select the "Tools", save Tool Path/DXF.

On this page there is a list of operations needed for the current job (drill
shelf, pocket holes…). The operation at the top of the list will be cut
first, then the next. You can reorder the list by drag/drop. Left click the
operation to reorder, while holding the mouse button down. Move up/down in
the list, then release the mouse button.
If an operation is not needed for the job, select the operation then right
click and choose “remove”. The operation is then added to the drop down list
above. If you need to use the removed operation select it from the drop down
list. It will be added back to the needed operations list.
“Insert before” is where you can insert special commands/files before an
operation is cut (turning the spindle on or pause to change bits) Choose an
operation in the list, the text in the “insert before” will change to the
selected operation. Then anything typed in the large text box will be added
to the cutting File. If you have set the special parts folder in settings
,all SBP files in the special parts folder will be listed in the drop down
box. Choosing one of these files will add the file to the large text box
with the FP, command added to the front.
Options Frame: select conventional or climb cut. Put a check in the box to
export a dxf file with the cutting files. Enter in how many passes you would
like to have the parts cut. (If cutting in one pass nothing is needed).
After entering a number, a list of text boxes will appear and default to,
total depth divided by number of passes. You can change the depth for each
pass.
Select what post processor you will need (SBPpost for ShopBot or GGpost for
G Code) The post processors can be modified to better fit your tool (Email
me for help on setting up a post processor)
Once all is set, select File/Save Toolpaths. Choose a name and click “save”.
It is best to save cutting files to a new folder. A cut file is created for
each operation in the operations list times the number of sheets and one
“ALL” file for each sheet. The “all” file uses Shopbots FP, command to call
each of the cut files.
After saving you are ready to start cutting the Cabinet Parts.
